My name is Pablo Cárcamo Risso. I was born in Santiago de Chile in 1987. When I was about 7 years old, my family moved to Temuco, in the south of Chile. It was there that I began to feel attracted to music and guitar, influenced mainly by my older brothers. At the age of 13 I began to learn some songs more seriously and to dare to compose my own first songs.
During all that time I listened to bands like Symphony X, Stratovarius, Angra, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Polimeter, Alejandro Silva, Six Magics, Dorso, Helloween, Sonata Arctica, Edguy, Avantasia, etc. In general, relatively modern Powermetal and Heavy metal bands for those years.
Motivated by music and sound, I started studying Acoustic Civil Engineering at the Universidad Austral de Chile. During the course of my career I formed and participated in some musical projects such as NONDIACORDE (instrumental progressive metal), ALERCE (post rock) and GATOPAN (alternative funk rock).
At the end of 2011 I participated in the national electric guitar contest 'Ibanez Project 2011', where I managed to be one of the 12 finalists with my composition 'Recurring Dream'. You can see my entry to that contest by clicking HERE .
Almost finishing our degree, we formed the fusion rock group HOMÍNIDO, together with Rodrigo González Mera, former drummer of La Desoorden. With HOMÍNIDO we publish the albums 'Estirpe Lítica' (2014) and 'Alados' (2016). We got excellent reviews for these works and we got to play once at the Festivalternativo in the city of Querétaro, Mexico. For more information I invite you to see the section MUSIC
In 2019 I put together the Spanish rock band EXPANSIVO. It is a personal project where we initially work in a trio format, with Daniel Meneses on drums and Coda González on Bass. We recorded the album 'Ahora es Cuando' (2020) and we had some live performances. After this, the project has continued as a soloist. Sooner I'll release a Web page for EXPANSIVO.
I am currently working on my first album as CARCAMOV which will be titled 'Escapando a lo Predecible'. In parallel, I am continuously releasing new songs on my YouTube channel, Facebook and IGTV as a musical experiment.
